Mazda Production and Sales Results for June 2015 and for January through June 2015 (Flash Report)
Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for June 2015 and for January through June 2015 are summarized below.
I. Production
Note 1): Overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (does not include CKD units). However, passenger vehicles produced for another brand at the plant in Mexico are included. Note 2): Global production figures are total of domestic production volume and overseas production volume.
1. Domestic Production (1) June 2015 Mazda's domestic production volume in June 2015 increased 7.7% compared to June 2014 due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

(2) January through June 2015 Mazda's total domestic production volume in the period from January through June 2015 decreased 5.1% year-on-year due to decreased both production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

2. Overseas Production (1) June 2015 Mazda's overseas production volume in June 2015 increased 72.2% year-on-year, reflecting increased production of passenger vehicles.

(2) January through June 2015 Mazda's total overseas production volume in the period from January through June 2015 increased 79.6% year-on-year, due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

II. Domestic sales
(1) June 2015 Mazda's domestic sales volume in June 2015 increased 47.2% compared to June 2014 due to increased sales of passenger vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 6.5% (up 2.4 points year-on-year), with a 2.0% share of the micro-mini segment (unchanged year-on-year) and a 4.8% total market share (up 1.6 points year-on-year).

(2) January through June 2015 Mazda's total domestic sales volume in the period from January through June 2015 increased 14.5% year-on-year due to increased sales of passenger vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 7.0% (up 2.0 points year-on-year), with a 2.4% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.2 points year-on-year) and a 5.2% total market share (up 1.2 points year-on-year).

III. Exports
(1) June 2015 Mazda's export volume in June 2015 decreased 11.5% compared to June 2014 due to decreased shipments to North America, Europe and other regions.
